The world is fracturing, saturated with a relentless stream of images – a deluge that often drowns out genuine feeling. But PhotoVogue is challenging that status quo with ‘Brave New Visions,’ a global open call for photographers and video makers to create work that refuses to fade into the digital noise.

Forget themes. PhotoVogue isn’t asking for a neatly packaged concept. They’re seeking a position – a defiant stance in relation to the world as it stands. This could manifest as an embrace of intimacy, a confrontation with injustice, or a refusal to accept the prevailing narrative. It’s about the courage to make something visible that truly matters, not just what’s palatable.
$12,000 In grants and recognition
Three artists will receive a total of $12,000 in grants – recognizing outstanding vision, a strong perspective, and the promise of emerging talent. Selected work will be showcased at the PhotoVogue Festival, published globally in Vogue’s editions, and featured in Virtual Portfolio Reviews. This isn’t just a competition; it’s an investment in artists pushing boundaries.
Submission details
The open call runs from May 14th to September 11th. Submissions are free, and open via Picter. Eligibility extends to all artists aged 18 and above. Multimedia projects are welcome, but AI-generated work is strictly prohibited. Submit up to 15 images or a 60-second video trailer.
