John Malkovich’s Venetian Style: A Fashion Icon’s Latest Red Carpet Looks

John Malkovich is captivating audiences in Venice this week, not just for his performance in the new film Wild Horse Nine, but also for his impeccable Fashion choices. The 72-year-old actor, promoting the Martin McDonagh-directed caper set on Easter Island, has been spotted sporting a series of striking looks on the red carpet.

A History of Fashion Flair

Malkovich’s passion for Fashion runs deep, extending far beyond the silver screen. He studied costuming in college and worked in the wardrobe department of the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago early in his career. He’s a lifelong collector of rare and vintage textiles, which he later utilized when designing for his brand, Technobohemian. He even walked for Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons in 1989 and appeared in Prada’s first menswear campaign in 1995.

At a recent press conference, he wore a white Bode suit with a retro printed shirt and a 1950s-inspired crossover tie, paired with kilim rug mules from King Kennedy. Earlier, he was seen on a water taxi wearing a Hodakova shirt with added sleeves draped across the boat’s mahogany roof. His stylist, Jeanne Yang, shared a photo of the look on Instagram.
