What's in a name? For the Pentagon, apparently a whopping $125 million. The Congressional Budget Office revealed that the effort to rename the Department of Defense to the Department of War came with a hefty price tag.

According to Director of the Office of Management and Budget Russell Vought, the unnecessary expenditure 'makes common sense' as the department was previously known by that name for most of US history. However, history buffs might correct him that this wasn't entirely true, as the Air Force and CIA didn't exist during much of that time.

Representative Glenn Ivey (D-Maryland) questioned the smug Vought about the apparent waste, pointing out that the funds could have been used for more essential needs. 'We spend a lot of time hearing that we don't have the money to fund a lot of the things we'd like to,' he stated. Vought's response only fueled the ire, as he compared the costs to the 'mole people' buying nameplates.
